To prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases, Cambridge Montessori will do the following:

• Encourage children and staff who are ill with respiratory illness symptoms (coughing, difficulty breathing, temperature ≥ 38˚  C, chills, fatigue, muscle aches, etc.) to STAY AT HOME
• Maintain the consistent practice of good respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene
• Comply with BC COVID-19 restrictions and public health orders from Dr. Bonnie Henry

Pick-up and drop-off of children should occur outside the childcare setting. However, if a parent, guardian, or visitor must enter our facility, we strongly recommend wearing a mask and maintaining physical distance to protect the health and safety of everyone.

We have always used and will continue to use Health Canada-approved disinfectants for regular disinfecting of high-contact objects (e.g. door handles, toilets, musical instruments, toys, etc.).

• Follow public health recommendations and Orders
• Perform a daily health check for symptoms of COVID-19
• Use the When to get a COVID-19 test or the B.C. Assessment Tool to determine if testing for COVID-19 is recommended
• Acquire free rapid antigen test kits at your local pharmacy
• Stay at home when sick
• Self-isolate if required by law or public health
